What Life Will Become Without People Making Money Online?

By Charles On November 29, 2007 3 Comments

While it seems like everybody likes to make money online, what will it happen when nobody wants to make money online? Life will be so terrible for us actually. Internet wouldn’t grow into Web 2.0. Internet might not work more than information related to technology. Hence, most information might just be related more towards technology probably because Internet itself is a technology. It sounds like in the past when Internet seems not so popular amongst people doing business.

Someway somehow, everybody makes money through online nowadays. It can be direct or indirect. Everybody now almost can’t live without Internet because of the tremendous information online. And information doesn’t come free. It is related to money someway somehow. You could be making money through online advertising. Or you could be making money through product review. Or you could be making money for writing great advices for people. Or this piece of information could be sponsored by some hosting company to host your information for Internet access…

Life is quite clear. You may make some money today. You will spend it tomorrow. The question is how to continuously make the money that you need to spend only by tomorrow. That’s the skill of living the life online that all of us are hoping for.

Making money online is simply helping to build the Internet to the next level… Pushing the Internet further and further in progress…

Life can be so fun with everybody starting to make money online… Isn’t it?

Blogging Requires Internet Events To Push Up Business

By Charles On November 28, 2007 1 Comment

Blogging consistently may be a good thing. But if you keep on blogging and yet you are not doing some Internet events for your blog, your blog might not be able to grow faster. I have seen someone who has blogged consistently for a few years. Yes, he’s actually one of my reviewees. He might have some great Page Rank juice for his blog, but his crowd is not really responding. His blog has grown secretly and yet I don’t see any growth in his readership…

Blog Contests
It seems like blog contests can help in pushing your blog to the next level. That’s how a lot of people did with their blog. Whether they are doing it with genuine purpose or not, they are attracting substantial crowd each time. Of course, there are also a lot of failed blog contests which I had personally witnessed which has zero participation! Blog contest giving away freebies has become a trend for quite a few months now…

Blog Collaborative Contest
I have seen bloggers who collaborate to make their blog increase in RSS readers and/or traffic. They did it by having a competition within their readers to increase their RSS readers… In such a way, this is a very high level of internet event since it requires substantial readers within your blog…

Blog Collaboration
Partnering with fellow bloggers to work on a few different events might be also a good thing. It helps to promote each other’s blog in some way or another. It helps especially in leveraging… For example, writing a guest post for another blogger has long been a great way of leveraging without spending your own time to think of more postings.

What other internet events can you identify?

Blogging Is All About Accumulation!

By Charles On November 27, 2007 4 Comments

When you start to blog, the first thing you know is to post something for people to see. And the next thing to do, is to quit! Is that familiar to you? Well, blogging is all about accumulation… The whole world can see more of you only if you are willing to show as much as you can about you in the form of web contents. The more contents you have, the more searchable you are. And when you are more searchable, the next thing to do is to make money online!

More money made!
When you have more contents, you will have different advertisers approaching you for their exposure in your market. You will see more people willing to pay you for what you are offering. And with that, you will start to understand and find that it is all worthed it to go through the blockage at the very beginning.

More traffic coming!
It is fun to see more and more people coming in to see what you are blogging. Most importantly, you must keep to your topic as strictly as possible. And the fun part about them coming in is through referrals from websites, especially from the search engines! You will get to understand where you stand in terms of the kind of traffic you are attracting…

A giant blog wins all!
Most importantly, you must have a giant blog! And it all comes with a lot of hard work initially… Forget about copy and paste from other people’s articles… They don’t work after all! You will get blamed and pinpointed only… Search engines are less likely to refer you… Websites find you not original…

So, we must all accumulate our contents, and continue to blog!

America is Stealing My Money From PayPal And Other Affiliate Accounts!

By Charles On November 26, 2007 6 Comments

Is US dollar going to lose value very soon? Everyday, I see my PayPal account losing money… It is so scary that the money I am losing everyday is like water which keeps on flowing down… I can’t imagine what it will be like next year… Should I withdraw all my money from PayPal now? Or should I keep it and pray for a miracle? I feel like my money is theoretically stolen after working for a while online, making money from the various sources of websites. What is going to happen next?

For the last five years, American dollar has been dropping consistently without fail. My money which I am keeping in US dollar is not safe after all. Is everybody losing their confidence in US dollar in spite of many Internet transactions are still in USD as a standard?
singapore dollar against american dollar

Making money online has been fun for me because it is a hobby for me while it pays me something for what I am doing. I wouldn’t say that I am making lots of money online right now… But being able to make some money is attractive enough to make me work harder for my future. It is enough to go for a very sumptuous meal and having fun playing bowling, billiard and many other games with my girlfriend, and to pay some of my bills too.

I used to think every 100 US dollars I have made is equivalent to my 165 Singapore dollars… But now, I am making only 144 Singapore dollars.. Which goes to show that I am losing about 20 Singapore dollars… Small money is still sustainable and I can close an eye for it… But when it comes to big money, I am losting lots of money!

I have a feeling one day, every US dollar is equivalent to one Singapore dollar… If such thing really happens, I wonder there might be a change in the economy somewhere…

Have A Look At A Business Doing Website Video Reviews!

By Charles On November 25, 2007 No Comments

I have always thought this might be a business to do. That is to do video reviews for websites, and to charge at a hundred or a few. So, I went into the Internet to look for my possible competitors. To my surprise, that’s one website that is doing such a business. This world is surely no surprise when it comes to a new idea which might have been done somewhere else already. Well, this website review is teaching me some of the things to look for when reviewing a website… Time to upgrade myself!

Have a look at someone else’s video review. Enjoy!

Life Is Not All About You…

By Charles On November 24, 2007 1 Comment

As we all grow older, we tend to focus more and more towards making money more than almost any other things. Most of all, we must never ever forget about our woman of our lives. We have so much things to do, and yet if you don’t fulfill a family plan, life seems to be quite empty in the end. The real reason for all my endeavors is to build a family who can live comfortably with me. That’s the only reason for my motivation to move on… How about you?

Making money online is just one of the income sources we can build along the way. It has no doubt bring in income for me, and I seem to be building more and more income from the Internet business. That’s only to mean I am getting more and more busy with my Internet business… On top of that, I am also motivated to work really hard in a system integration company I am now in… One of the reasons is that I used to like playing with IT gadgets and this is my real chance to touch with it without actually working on it… That’s because I am employed as a sales engineer there… My focus is to bring in sales… And my motivation is to bring in more sales so that I can build a bigger income for myself.

What it takes to build a business?
I don’t care whether you are building your own business, or you are working for others. It all really matters with your working attitude in your working environment. And when I first started to adapt myself in the sales job, I am so green in almost everything that I touch on. This boss is rather strict with me probably because I am partially responsible for bringing in income for the company. But I like that because I can then tune myself accordingly to work well. If you are too lazy to work on something, I think you better don’t start a business… Stop daydreaming!

Goal Building
Start building a goal for yourself! Make yourself see the goal that you want to work towards. Face it and enjoy the roller-coaster ride! Most importantly, build yourself up from scratch and don’t ignore something for other things! Everything comes together! Don’t focus on your business, only to ignore your girlfriend… Don’t focus on your girlfriend, only to ignore your career! They have to be balanced…

Age between 20 to 30
Believe it or not… I realize the age between 20 to 30 is the time to start up and to fall if it fails… This is the time to go through all the obstacles towards your goal… Bring in the money from online, offline or even from a job… Just get that money… Don’t be to reliant on other people’s money while they are not paying you for something… If you have a healthy cashflow, your expenses will never exceed your income!

Go go all the way! Happy Weekend to everyone of you!

Blogging Is All About Pushing Yourself For More!

By Charles On November 23, 2007 No Comments

I can still remember the times when I was blogging for my first month. I have been pushing myself for around 5 postings every day. That’s because I told myself that I was then working full time on the Internet and there’s no reason why I cannot blog more than the rest. But as time passed gradually, I started to tone down myself to one or two posts every day. I started to learn something very interesting along the way…

Blogging is about frequency
I was trying to blog about 4 posts every day back in the days of June and July 2007. I remember telling myself about blogging is a marathon. I kept on blogging and blogging until I was quite exhausted because I simply have no other life after! I told myself to blog less than usual… I switched immediately to blog only one or two posts every day… Eventually something happened… My RSS subscribers went down in numbers as a result… It is clearly about my blog frequency!

Blogging is about your voice
As you blog longer, your readers will start to understand how you feel in the text world. They will become more and more interested in you personally with the blog theme as the topic. Bringing in the blog voice, you will eventually increase even more people to look forward for your next posting. They simply want to hear more of your blog voice!

Blogging is about your topic!
Let’s face it. You are going back to the blog because you want to read more about that particular contents the blogger has wrote. If you start to know the person through a one-on-one conversation, this person will be more interested in anything that you write on your blog more than what the blog topic is supposed to be.

Blogging is about pushing yourself for more!
Lastly, this is the topic which I am stressing on more. Blogging is all about coming up with the next post in an impromptu style. If you have not been blogging frequently, you will definitely have problem blogging in an impromptu style. You will probably end up with nothing to blog about… Or simply too lazy to blog about… Or simply too “busy” to blog about too!

What are you waiting for? Keep on blogging!

Internet Is The One Thing You Can’t Miss!

By Charles On November 22, 2007 No Comments

Ever since the invention of the Internet, a lot of businesses have been affected directly or indirectly. I remember back in those days where we don’t have access to the vast information… The ones who kept the information made the most money because they are the only ones who know where is cheap to buy, and to sell them at high price outside. Now, Internet is making everything clear that almost all your prices are known to the world if they worked hard to do some internet research…

I have been thinking… Internet is such a wonderful communication tool that everyone of us cannot under-utilize it. Google has made almost everything searchable. If you are unsure of certain thing, just key it in and find out what the world knows about this. If you wish to do some trading business, all you need is a computer with Internet access. So you can ask for prices on the fly when your customers are asking you for it! You don’t even need to keep an inventory!

There are way so many products and services that we can do on the Internet. We can choose to do tangible products where we can see and can touch… But we have to arrange for the delivery when it comes. Or if you wish to save the hassle of delivering the items, you can do intangible products where you can see but cannot touch… That’s information. It seems like selling information is getting more and more recognized around the world.

Singapore is kind of lagging behind when it comes to buying information from the internet. They would prefer more towards buying a book to have a feel of the papers and its cover. But when you look at the bigger picture of the whole world, information is so much easily accessed if you are more willing to pay for information which you can touch! And they seem to be making more and more presence on the Internet nowadays.

I am looking forward for even more progression from the Internet again! I start to feel I can’t live without it… Do you?

The Cheats of an Internet Marketer

By Charles On November 21, 2007 No Comments

Well, I hate to talk about this topic because I recently unsubscribed to one internet marketing magazine which is sent to my house every month. I must say that this magazine is fabulous! I have learned a lot from it. But to think how he sells his materials online to the fellow internet marketers, I just don’t like it… I feel kind of cheated, yet I am receiving good stuff though. Do you really need to use misleading words to bring in your prospects to the next step of your sales funnel?

Left 3 copies now! Hurry!
This is the kind of trick which can trigger certain group of people to take action. Whether they are genuine or not, they surely can afford more than 3 softcopy for upload… Wouldn’t they want to make more money? They are only selling licence cert which is left 3 only right?

Buy now at $1 only!
When I subscribed for my free magazine from an Internet Marketer by the name of R.B., the next month I saw a bill of $63 out of nowhere… When did I subscribe for my monthly magazine? I remember I also subscribed to one magazine from another famous marketer (named Y.S) for $1, and in small print he wrote about a monthly fee of US$90 through paypal which means SG$135 in my country! Hence, I have to log into my paypal account to disable that recurring payment to stop it! Again, they are great contents too… These people sure know how to lure people to see the contents first and quietly charge them so that they will accept the value of paying it…

The Secret of using Google Adwords without paying!
There’s yet another ebook sold online which is merely selling such an idea. Yes, this idea is really good! And when I got a copy myself, I was totally disappointed with the contents… Who doesn’t know that you can ask advertisers to pay you for your website while you use their money to pay for Google Adwords? And such a product can cost more than SG$100! I heard from a fellow online friend that this person has been doing refunds even though he has sold a lot…

Bloggers who faked statistics
Again, I saw people who wrote how famous they are, how many RSS subscribers they have, and how good they are which is all an empty shell actually… Though it seems like nobody really cares about it, it irritates people like myself to see such tricks… And many bloggers will tend to write about how bad those bad bloggers are which seems to be giving them free traffic in the end… So what is good and bad over here?

Content Stealers
Again, I tend to see the same content being duplicated over everywhere in the Internet. They simply just want to take the shortcuts that they can without bothering the authors. Content is the main source of traffic attraction in every website. And it seems like those websites are having a good time stealing contents, making some money out of it… What’s the point of buying some Private Label Rights (PLR) from these contents? Luckily, Google seems to be punishing those thieves somehow…

Love it or not, every new content being produced for the Internet will be widely spreaded because of the need for such information and people simply love to broadcast them all…

Keep Blogging! It Helps To Increase Your Traffic! Why?

By Charles On November 20, 2007 8 Comments

If you have noticed, as you keep on blogging, you will increase your blog contents. And when your blog contents increase, you have a more searchable site than other people. Isn’t that logical enough to tell you to keep on blogging? Another thing, you have to be consistent enough to blog or else the contents might get too stagnant too. Make the Google crawler to work harder by blogging harder. This will make your blog more frequently visited by Google and giving you more priority than others.

Helps to improve traffic from search engines
Let’s be practical here. More contents mean more words to search. This means that search engines get to provide more relevant keywords for your website since you have so many keywords for the search engines to refer you traffic.

Imagine the search engines get to see new contents on your site on day 1. Then the search engines see new contents on day 2. And it goes on for day 3, day 4 and so on… This will mean that you have a constant acceleration in your contents growth. Search engines will love you even more to give you more traffic because you seem to have up-to-date information about the certain keywords!

Most of the traffic in most websites come from search engines
Search engines seem to be giving more traffic to the blogs than the blog can do for itself to grow. That’s because people are typing in certain keywords which they wish to see more information related to it. And if you can provide for it, all the more search engines will give you all. These are highly targeted traffic for you to do some work to retain them to come back for more!

Your blog content concentration plays a part!
Imagine searching for a certain word, and stumbling upon a website which has many focuses. A high bounce rate is very likely to occur. On the other hand, if you have a site which focuses on a certain topic only, the visitor will definitely come back for more! Though it might be true that general topic websites cannot retain visitors, they can be done properly if they have a certain branding surrounds it for people to have a reason to come back for!

Gives yourself a branding!
No matter what blog you are working on, it is always good to have a brand for people to associate with. It is easy to associate with common things. But having your own brand name can be even more lasting if it manages to hit everybody’s mind! And that can never be replaced by another name ever! Branding your own name might give you the fame… Yet it might not be easy to sell the business at a later stage. So, choose a branding properly.

So guys, start blogging as though there are a lot of traffic today!
