What’s with all the blogs out there which are likely to be another “Make Money Online” or “Blogging” or “Internet Marketing”? Are they all about the same thing? Are they going to have a lot of competition out there? Do you really want to do a blog talking about Make Money Online too? Why so many “Make Money Online” blogs are telling everybody to work on other topics in their blogs startup?
As I am surfing around all the “Make Money Online” blogs everywhere, it has become clear to everybody that Make Money Online is probably the most common topic in every blog out there online… Especially when the blog has to do with a person’s name, and that name is registered as a domain to represent his blog… It has become a common thing for everybody who is making money online to write about a blog like this.
I have also noticed many Internet marketing experts out there seem to be telling everybody to register domain names to do with their names… And, the very first thing for every name’s domain registered is to write a blog about themselves, talking about making money online.
Well, as I blog longer myself, blogging is actually a tool to teach ourselves about a certain topic that we want to do. For example, I am very interested about marketing on the Internet. And hence, my blog is writing a lot about that and it makes me a better educated person about this topic. And while I am doing that, I start to know people who are interested in such thing. When has such an interest or hobby able to attract like-minded people together?
I am also starting to read up about marketing on search engines… in terms of search engine optimization (SEO) as well as search engine marketing (SEM). It is making me a better person in make a better site each time. Ability to use this blog as a testing platform for all my search traffic. WordPress is fantastic in its SEO area. While I am doing my job to learn and to write on my blog, wordpress is teaching search engines to read my blog more often.
I also like to read other people’s make money online blogs. It is making me a better informed person. Whether that piece of information is true or not, it is opening up my horizon in seeing more things with different views. That’s the power of blogging and socializing with other bloggers.
Hence, blogging at its very innocent phase, is not about which topic is niche or not (although that is important). It is more about taking a step into writing about what you have learned and to learn further. It is “forcing” you to write a topic which you are unfamiliar with. It is making you to sit down to write something about it as though it is one of the important things to do in your life! It is also about discipline to keep it up… I found it particularly difficult to maintain more than one blogs when my mind is more towards one topic which I like to talk about.
When a blog’s domain name is about that person’s name, please expect to see what’s the interest of that person in his blog more than a topic or theme he has derived… It is not easy to maintain a topic strictly and to find yourself with nothing to write about… I have noticed a lot of bloggers writing this topic “What to write when you have nothing to write about” in their make money online topic… That’s probably because they are running out of ideas already!
