Blogging Is All About Pushing Yourself For More!

by Charles on 23 November 2007

I can still remember the times when I was blogging for my first month. I have been pushing myself for around 5 postings every day. That’s because I told myself that I was then working full time on the Internet and there’s no reason why I cannot blog more than the rest. But as time passed gradually, I started to tone down myself to one or two posts every day. I started to learn something very interesting along the way…

Blogging is about frequency
I was trying to blog about 4 posts every day back in the days of June and July 2007. I remember telling myself about blogging is a marathon. I kept on blogging and blogging until I was quite exhausted because I simply have no other life after! I told myself to blog less than usual… I switched immediately to blog only one or two posts every day… Eventually something happened… My RSS subscribers went down in numbers as a result… It is clearly about my blog frequency!

Blogging is about your voice
As you blog longer, your readers will start to understand how you feel in the text world. They will become more and more interested in you personally with the blog theme as the topic. Bringing in the blog voice, you will eventually increase even more people to look forward for your next posting. They simply want to hear more of your blog voice!

Blogging is about your topic!
Let’s face it. You are going back to the blog because you want to read more about that particular contents the blogger has wrote. If you start to know the person through a one-on-one conversation, this person will be more interested in anything that you write on your blog more than what the blog topic is supposed to be.

Blogging is about pushing yourself for more!
Lastly, this is the topic which I am stressing on more. Blogging is all about coming up with the next post in an impromptu style. If you have not been blogging frequently, you will definitely have problem blogging in an impromptu style. You will probably end up with nothing to blog about… Or simply too lazy to blog about… Or simply too “busy” to blog about too!

What are you waiting for? Keep on blogging!

  • An advantage of blogging is that it creates awareness. Purchasers of your product can read about it, write and post comments and engage in on-going discussions. The advantage of blogging that you can join the conversation your customers are having. Others can comment.

This personal communication can generate an open, candid, trust-building dialog that will make consumers more aware, more willing to try your products or services.
  • I think blogging is universal. there such many reasons why your blogging, socially.
