It is my pleasure to have reviewed a total of 30 videos since 22nd June 2007. Thank you for supporting me in my endeavors to have produced so many videos today. Well, I didn’t expect myself to see so many videos but to do my part to contribute in this blog to let it grow along with time. Along the way, I met some great bloggers like Sunny, Carl Ocab, John Cow, Sabahan, Etienne Teo, Kumiko, David Airey and many more others along the way. Thinking about those names, perhaps I should update my blogroll soon…
Time flies when my blog is now moving into its sixth month. In this period, I realize a lot of powerful bloggers started off in the same period as me but were really good at what they are doing… We have Blogging Fingers, Cash Quests and John Cow during this period of growth… I wonder if they have some powerful manuals behind their back which made them so famous today.
It all comes with the learning curve from each and everyone of us. As we focus on our blog longer, we get to learn some of the things that other bloggers didn’t because of lack of concentration in their blog. I see bloggers coming in and out along the way… Their blogs become very stagnant today…
I have a very good example of a friend whose blog is very stagnant today. First of all, he has a lot of aim of what he wants his blog to become. In fact, he is very excited about it as he sees my blog growing from zero. But because of the lack of patience and insufficient concentration, this blog has become so quiet and peaceful… For a blog like this, it is pretty hard to imagine anybody who wants to focus on reading on it! Well, he knows who he is and does read my blog…
Reviewing 30 videos look a lot to me today. In fact, after I have reviewed KC Tan, I took a quick look at my past videos and I gave myself a big “Wow! You have a portfolio of 30 videos as a reviewer!” Not all of them are website reviews, I also have 1 ebook review and some software reviews. Guys, do you know that I do review for ebooks and software too?
What makes me a qualified reviewer for your product or website?
First of all, I used to be a programmer back in 1997 to 2001. I studied in school, and I have done some programming projects for various companies back in those days. Though money wasn’t good because they are mostly school attachments, I thought of going into this industry for long since then… In fact, I won two prizes during my IT studies in Ngee Ann Polytechnics. One is the innovative award for my security programming project, and another is for my participation in NUS computron quiz.
Then, I got to learn about sales since 2004 when I took up a few sales courses along the way. Setting up my brochures, writing sales copy on classified to sell my clients’ properties have been an interesting experience I have been through a while. I have never regretted about going through this stage which many would have thought it as a waste of time because it has taught me lots of knowledge about the society.
Later, I studied and graduated for Diploma In Enterprise Development. I got to learn some of the theoretical mechanics about business, sales, marketing and operations. It was a really fun course to learn because I got to see so many things which I have not known if I have not studied about it. This triggers me to think about taking up MBA at a later stage of my life…
Lastly, I started taking up internet marketing courses when I started to see newspaper advertisements about such a short course. I never knew about such thing and got to see such a huge exposure that a website can give only if you know how to. Of course, I didn’t really focus hundred percent of it because I used to believe more towards tangible businesses… Business that I can see and do… Eventually, I started setting up website to sell food catering in 1 year and then my own delivery business in the next year.
It is so amazing how the traffic is attracting into your website when you are able to write a convincing web copy in your marketing campaign. Of course, you have to provide fantastic products and services… For many of them who only know how to market but producing lousy products and services, these kind of people should not exist!
Learning Stage Along Each Video
I can see the difference between the first video and the last video I had. I can see a vast improvements in myself… Hehe! Well, take a look at it for yourself!
My First Video Review (Quite a terrible performance…)
My Latest Video Review (Something more presentable…)
Can you notice the difference between the two videos above already?
Well, the video review performance has been improved vastly only when I started to review Carl Ocab for the second time because I wanted to improve myself… (Yes, I offered to review his blog twice!) Take a look for yourself…
Do you guys know that I can redo my videos for as much as over 30 times for each review?! That was in the past when I tried to improve and to keep myself more informative as possible. And actually, those videos are actually making my old laptop quite constrained for space when they are taking up 3.29GB of my hard disk space… Probably, it’s time to archive them in DVD-R…
Thank you everybody for the support over the past 6 months…
