I have seen many companies spending lots of money for the sake of protecting their ego reputation. They will rather spend more money to buy the stock photos to be placed on their website. They will rather spend money so as not to show other brands on their website. They will rather not do anything about it if it requires them to show credits to other websites or companies.
In this Web 2.0 world, it is quite hard if you continue to isolate your website from the rest of the world. In one way or another, we are bound to link to external websites. In one way or another, we are bound to show other companies’ logos. In one way or another, we are bound to talk about other companies.
Avoiding any of the things in this web 2.0 world, will lead you to spend more money! Let me know if you know of a better way!
