I wonder if any of you ever encounter someone familiar who asks you what business you are doing, and you just say you are making money online and they give you an expression full of questions?
This recently, I start to get people asking me this and were really loss whether it is really a true business to make money. Oh well, you have to be confident in yourself and say “yeah! it does!”
These people aren’t interested in making money online because they have never thought of doing such thing before! They were just being concerned with us who seem to be “building castles in the air” about making money… And they wish to let us “see the reality”…
Oh well… I am already making money right now… So that should stop them from talking so much about it.
Ever since I quited doing business for brick-and-mortar industry last May 2007, I started working online on 1st June. I am very sure this is going to be the next big thing, however I had problem finding my momentum in doing an online business. I realize I have to read further about Internet while working on my Internet business, I have to look through all the various business opportunities (some of which are definitely scams…), I have to determine where to start!
It took me at least half a month to convince myself that I should start working on my blog first while I know of a friend who is selling other people’s products and is already earning $300 a day… That’s a neat sum of money to spare him from working for others… However, I knew of a problem if I were to start in his way… I have to keep on looking for new products once this old product’s trend is wearing off… I would want to do something long term and if possible permanent… I started working on a blog then…
Working on this blog is not an easy task… I have reinstalled WordPress for 3 times before I finally settled on it… And before WordPress, I thought Movable Type should be the choice since my “idol” Dave Taylor is using Movable Type… But I had so much problem installing because I am only familiar with PHP… I worked on it for a few days before showing my white flag to my laptop… And even before Movable Type, I kept trying Blogger.com to customize to my needs and I even tried to learn how to tweak with their templates… It’s so terrible experience… And I finally found WordPress because of John Chow… He has showed me how to do this and that… And I believe it must be a miracle from God that he just released his ebook on how to blog..
I kept thinking my niche and I found this topic from desinotes on focusing on your blog’s topic. I must say God has been assisting me in my business endeavours… And I somehow like to talk to Sunny from desinotes now. It is never an easy task to find what I want to blog about. In my case, I do have some computer technical background. But this industry’s tools are quite relatively new to me… And I believe you might even find yourself lost or confused while working on it…
I kept on doing what I needed to do until my friend from a bored blog gave me an encouragement that I am on the right track! Oh I really love it now… And I must tell you that blogging is something very enjoyable… If you still can’t enjoy what you are blogging, one day you might not blog on it anymore… Blog is something which is going on and on…
And so, I must not be shy and say it out loud “Yes everybody! I am making money online!” 
And by the way, my feed subscribers had just hit 40 people…
