Twitter has a huge database of followers who are eager to follow you if you are telling something which is beneficial to them in one way or another. Unlike blog, you can only twitter 140 characters. It’s not very long, and yet it is sufficient to tell the world about something.
Embracing the idea of simplicity
Very soon, we start to embrace the idea of simplicity such as 12 Seconds video. Short and sweet is a beauty. You don’t have to write very long paragraphs to attract interested people. People are looking for information which can answer their questions. It’s nothing more than that.
Don’t like long hours of blogging yet want to start a blog?
You don’t have to blog so long over here. All you need is really to relate what you want to tell the world in 140 characters. It’s not easy actually! I can still remember my boss asking me to explain the whole situation in 7 words because she has no time! The whole idea is to effectively tell the world what you want.
Just twitter the “chapter” title
Just imagine you have the whole book inside your head that you want to tell the world but you are unable to relate that on a blog. Just think of the 12 chapter titles in your book, and twitter them! It’s just as simple as that!
Twitter the 7 series of that chapter!
You might have twitter all the chapter titles as mentioned in the earlier paragraph. It’s time to expand every chapter into series of 3, 7, 9 or 12. Tell the world what you are twittering about in that chapter.
Share the Tweet love!
As a twitter user, you must have a group of people you will want to follow. Follow them, and start retweeting their stories to let your followers see. Give your followers the relevant information which your friends are twittering.
Share the Link Love!
Life is never about twitter alone! We still have the long version which is blog! We also have social bookmarking sites, social networking, social videos and more! Share the link love to those sites which your followers might be interested!
Retweet that link love!
Again, your friends might also be sharing real stuff outside twitter realm! Retweet their links to keep your followers happy! Give them all the links that they need.
Reply to your commentators!
You will have commentators telling you something about your tweets. Reply them and make friends with your followers! It has that same good feeling of having comments on your twitter, just like your blog. Enjoy and comment back on theirs!
Use affiliate links wisely as it may be sensitive
It’s the same for blogs as well as twitter. Affiliate links really irritate me when my friends spam the twitter so much. It’s even worse when they use the same twitter words. I will just unfollow and forget about such friends. It’s not that affiliate links are not good. In one way or another, we still have to make money as well as spend money. Just use it wisely… The best is to declare it openly while showing the link. You’ll gain my first respect for sure.
