So what if you are telling people what you are doing?
I know many people simply cannot reconcile why they are telling people why they are telling people what they are doing.
In fact, when I twitter about what I am doing, I see some followers not following me anymore. Nevertheless, I still continue to twitter what I am doing, and also what my industry is all about.
People tend to follow people because it gives them the benefits that they need. They can learn from these people. I follow people whom I am interested in and I learn what they have to tell me.
Actually, it’s that personal touch that brings people together.
I may twitter useful things as and when I found them. But I also chat with people whom I am following. It brings me together with them. It’s like in IRC (Internet Relay Chat) which I used many years ago.
When I see a familiar name online, I will just say hi to them! And the conversation can just carry on. It’s much cleaner because I only see the tweets whom I am following.
When I wish to look for an answer which I don’t really find it on google, I will also tweet and ask them. I will get funny answers as and when too.
Friends, trust me. You have to try it out yourself before you start to judge that twitter is not for you. Even Guy Kawasaki didn’t really believe into it till he was convinced to give it a try (I heard that in Chris Pirillo’s show).
Have fun twittering!
Follow me, and talk to me! I promise I will reply you!
