Etienne Teo asked me a question for new bloggers who want to write about make-money-online topic when it seems so saturated in one way or another. The very first thing that came to my mind is the new blogger shouldn’t worry whether it is a niche or not. It is really got to do with how he wanted to work on his blog. Because if your topic is already well-discussed in the Internet, you might have to think of an idea why your market should come to read about you and less on others. And on the other hand, if your topic is not well-discussed in the Internet, you have to spend more time and money to do research on the market’s behavior towards your product or service…

So what if your website is ranked number one in the search results when nobody keys in those keywords? It voices down to lots of homework to be done to bring in the market!

You may see bloodshed amongst some competitors where they don’t believe in joint venture for a better business… You may also see more joint ventures coming up amongst similar businesses. Others simply found a sub-niche for their website to focus on… Or even found a personal brand for themselves to use…

When I saw John Chow writing about “Enter only if your brand is strong enough.”, it gives me an idea about how powerful it is to have a brand. People simply wants to buy because you have this brand even though they are so similar to others in almost all other ways… Branding is also a way of maintaining your income when you can command a better price than others.

Hence, let the niche be your brand wherever you can to do a long term business… And let your brand be your domain name if possible…
