It’s just charles ramblings

It’s a 24 Dec today. I have just gotten back from Bangkok. It was a really nice little trip with my wife, her mum, and her mum’s sister and family. I have gotten a few interesting items from Pantip Plaza.
- Media Player which can play music, video and pictures on the TV from external hard disk, thumb drives and various flash cards.
- Microphone to prepare for my podcast series in 2010.
- Presenter to assist me in my future presentations so that I can manipulate my powerpoint slides easily with a laser pointer.
- TV tuner which allows my computer surf TV channels.
- PC Remote Controller which allows me to remote access my computer easily like a TV remote control.
I am still lacking a few more things such as a headphone and a speaker. It’s going to be an interesting 2010!
This recently, I have been trying to resolve my Windows 7 problem of hanging on random timings. I went as far as trying to repair my Windows installation. It turned out that I suspect my graphic card has some incompatibility. Hence, I went to upgrade my graphic card driver directly from the manufacturer (instead from Dell’s website). It seems like things are getting stable since then. We’ll wait and see if it still persists on. If not, I would like to change my opinion about Windows 7 that it is really a very user friendly operating system! But wait… I still have bluetooth problem… My Dell Studio 1557 is still having trouble connecting to my Nokia N95 via bluetooth… Let’s try upgrading the bluetooth driver and find out if it works…
Last Friday, I had a wonderful little Dinner and Dance with my company. This emcee by the name of Edmund Toh is pretty good at hosting the whole show. It seems to me that he has a lot of experience in corporate events. Looking at his small little website introduction of himself, I would think that he can do better than that since he has a personality of his own as an emcee for so many events!
Well, been really busy with my job this recently. I am glad to see some of my twitter followers still remembering me! Thanks for being there (maybe not for me, but at least you are still there!
). I am glad to see so many things are getting on track… This project has been a real experience for me and for my vendors.
Well, I would like to wish everyone of you a Merry Christmas in advance!
