My Laptop LCD Was Flickering…

I have been meddling with my LCD problem which was happening for quite some time already. In fact, sometimes it flickers, sometimes it does not flicker… I couldn’t solve this problem for the whole Sunday night and today’s morning!

It wasn’t the LCD problem… it wasn’t graphic card problem… Because I remember my laptop was working well for a few months after the flickering problem solves by itself!

This time round it flickers and I just couldn’t stand it anymore! Because I need to work! Sigh! And I tell you… I did something which you wouldn’t have been able to guess how I solved this problem… That Sunday night, I was so frustrated by its flickering problem, I started to ask God to heal my laptop… Since this is something I couldn’t do in the middle of the night and I don’t know of anybody who is able to help me, I asked God to solve it for me then… And I just leave my laptop on for the whole night while I just grab a book and read till I slept…

When I woke up, I still saw my laptop flickering… I tried to see if there is any remedy to it… No, there isn’t! So I brought it down to Sim Lim Square to solve it… The technician was shocked by how bad the LCD flickering is! He checked that the laptop is working well on the monitor, and suggests that I have to change my LCD screen… I told him that I don’t mind changing the LCD screen, but I am pretty sure it is not the LCD problem since it has happened before… And he gave me a no-charge assurance to solve the problem if it still doesn’t work.

I shopped around the computer shops with my mum to see if there is any good deals to grab while I was there… The prices now are quite stable already… Quite affordable to buy a budget PC (without monitor) at SGD$350… We went for some food outside (Well, Singapore has got really good variety of food around since we are a multi-racial country!) and I went back to get my laptop to see if it is repaired.

Oh well… God doesn’t want me to spend that SGD$350 yet on a LCD replacement… The technician told me that they couldn’t fit their 15.4″ LCD onto my laptop because it is of different type of attachment! Well, my laptop was still “naked” while he was talking to me. So, he fixed back my old LCD to my laptop and try to switch on to see if it is fixed properly… MIRACULOUSLY, my laptop is alive! Well, God really answered my prayer… And I got it free! And I had a good time shopping around with my mum too… What a wonderful day it turned out to be, right?

Well, you probably can guess it… I believe the wires inside were loosen in the process of my 4 years’ usage… And he accidentally helped me fixed back properly now…
