There's a wavelog version for S60 R5? No, I don't know about that. I am quite confused over their way of interpreting the S60 operating system now. It looks like the developer has to try it on different phones to be more accurate.

Hi Ruby. Thanks for dropping by. I read Wall Street Journal just now that Internet + Mobile Phone is the best combination today because mobile phone is so much cheaper when compared to buying a laptop or computer. And Internet access on mobile is also affordable. S60 applications are the way to go!
Thanks for the news about Nokia N97! Looks like it's S60 5th Edition phone.
I don't really like HTC phones... Their touch screen is not as good as IPhone. IPhone is the next phone I will take if I have the chance. However, I have already spent so much on my S60 phone... :)

Thanks Charles for the research, I highly appreciate it. I recently read a few reviews on the Nokia N97 that's to be released in the first quarter of 2009, I think I'll wait for that before upgrading. It's like the iPhone 3G blended with HTC, it has everything I ever wanted in a mobile phone, so I've found my mobile phone soulmate ;-)

That was my understanding as well, but if you look at Nokia developers forum or Symbian signed criteria, for each Nokia phone model running on S60 R3 there has to be separate testing provided by a test house. It seems that Nokia itself does not guarantee the full interoperability across all models with the same OS version.
BTW, I've read that there is a Wavelog version for S60 R5 for Nokia N97 and 5800. Do you know more about that?

Hi Mat. I think so long as it works on Symbian OS 3rd Edition, it should be ok. Correct me if I am wrong, ok? Catch up with ya again. :)

Oh Ruby, I have checked that N70 is using Symbian OS 2nd Edition. It may not be suitable... I guess you can take a good look at N96... Though it is not as stable as N95 right now, they have a new feature which N95 doesn't. Take care.

Hi Ruby, I think N70 is also using Symbian OS. You might be able to use it! Why not ask wavelog engineer about it?

Like most of Symbian S60 applications, Wavelog works on many Nokia phones from N or E series although it was developed and tested on one model. Just searched on the Web and found the following reference that Wavelog works on N73, E51, and N82 as well as N95 :

I think it's time I upgrade from my N70 to a N95. This sounds like a great feature, would love to explore it.
