I went to the Official Launch of Start-Up@Singapore 2008 held at Singtel Comcenter today. Three interesting companies doing different projects individually. They were working on Mobile Phone app for Video Cam, Oil Reuse, and Online Publishing. I had a good insight of what the MDA guys are looking for, thanks to Mr Michael Yap for telling us so much about the things that they are looking for. After listening to what they are looking for, I can see there’s an market opening for people to work on it… Hopefully somebody’s gonna do a better IT initiative in the near future…
In the “face-off” discussion between the companies starting up and the venture capitalists, the companies are trying to pitch their business to the VC and the audiences… The venture capitalists gave a good insight about their point of views when it come to bringing the company to the next level… In my point of view, these venture capitalists are basically looking for companies which are already making money and are looking for expansions… They have no thoughts of helping to incubate the young entrepreneurs trying so hard to get their business up.
After which, I went on to attack the food while people are doing networking around. I have no thought about doing networking at all because there are simply nothing I wish to present to them right now… Simply attacking the food while talking to people who are nearby me… I think the people there are quite obsessed with the idea of starting up from an innovative idea… And I start to see so many people are there to “give money away”… I talked to a few, and they were saying they are looking into funding companies… Then I said “Wah, you are going to give me money ah!” It seems like there is a huge amount of money made by our government from the various sources and they are looking for places to give it back for a greater return…
When you are making lots of money, you still have to look for places to spend the money away somewhere… right? And it’s all about buying assets and not liabilities to make even more money now or later!
Anyway, I had a good chat with the people around… Sorry, no name card from an Internet marketer… My name card is here…

Then I move on to meet a friend at Orchard to eat Subway. After which, I carry on to do my work on the Internet right now. It’s been great because I think I have the chance of taking up a sales job now… I am quite sick of doing physical business already…

I started learning online marketing since 2007. I have a couple of online projects which I am working on part time with an elite team such as
