Page Rank Update is going to take some more time…

by Charles on 5 October 2007

While we are all waiting for our “virgin” page rank to be broken from zero, I saw Matt Cutts writing a comment in his blog
saying that he is not expecting a full page rank update for at least a few more weeks and possibly longer… When you are working for a well-known company, your every move is taken note of! Haha… If I had the chance to work for Google, I would want to go for it! I wish they would accept me because I think Google is the most fun company to be in!

It happened so coincidental for me when I first started my blog, that was also when the delay of page rank is longest in history… Am I right? I haven’t get the chance to see a good page rank of my own work before… The only page rank I had seen was the time when I was working for my previous company and I saw a 1 page rank out of nowhere! But later on, I realize one page rank is interpreted to be almost as good as zero.

Have you guys been having stumbling blocks along the way while working on your blog, like myself? I keep on putting every effort on this blog until I can’t think of what else I can do to bring this blog to the next level. Now, I have to read up more to further my knowledge about blogging…

I got to look for more sources of income… This page rank is determining part of my income source with those PayPerPost opportunities. The interesting part about PayPerPost is that you will get $20 straight when you post about them after you sign up! And when you click on my link to sign up, I make $15 myself. What a win-win situation! I believe this luring bait will go off anytime when they have finished their marketing budget for promoting PayPerPost program.

By the way, whenever I log into PayPerPost, I keep on thinking that the photo of the guy on the front page looks like my old classmate in my teens! I have been wanting to ask him if he posed as model before… It’s that striking alike!

The algorithm of calculating Google Page Rank is so mysterious. I don’t understand why John Chow gets one page rank down for his blog. I also noticed some bloggers dropping in search rankings after they did their link-baiting programs. It’s likely that Google is slapping some of the webmasters digitally for being disobedient. Massive deliberate linking might prove redundant in the end. I also noticed some websites with only internal linking, having some page rank juice… So linking might be just one criteria to be concerned about. There are still other criteria we can work on as well…

Ok, enough of my ramblings! You have any ramblings about Page Rank too?
