As I was reading through the NyTimes.com about China’s High Tech Plan, I seriously think that China is going to be very big in terms of technology as well as trading goods throughout the world! Just imagine the implementation of this high tech plan where it is going to implement computer-chip-programmed residency cards to 12.4 million people in Shenzhen alone in one month’s time… Oh by the way, that American-financed company (name not mentioned in the news) who is in charge of this government project is going to make a very big windfall!

Every residency card is going to store information not only the citizen’s name and address but also work history, educational background, religion, ethnicity, police record, medical insurance status and landlord’s phone number! This is a huge project! So, you can see the amount of money the China government is going to invest in it…  Even the number of babies you have born is also included!  Furthermore, there are more plans to add even more information…

This project is simply too huge for any small company to take to implement in terms of its scalability of the production and development, as well as the maintenance of it… But just see how serious China is in implementing a high tech plan… I can foresee something along the line of Internet is going into the China way!
