First of all, I would like to comment that most ebook Authors seem to be able to write very well in their expressions mainly. After talking about pushing myself to the limit, I was thinking that the ebook author (mentioned in that post) of “Affiliate Rockstar Status“(aff) is a fantastic online salesman with his landing page full of sales pitch and his book is also quite full of good ideas to learn from, that’s why I am affiliated to recommend it after buying it myself.

eBook Authors May Not Be Suitable To Be Bloggers
There are many writers around the world who can really write very well! But it looks like they can’t really excel well in the blogging industry.

That’s probably because of the following reasons:

  1. Blogging has to be as transparent as possible because you are providing that blog voice to the readers. And readers might just pinpoint that certain affiliate link when you didn’t mention it.
  2. Blogging is more towards talking straight to the point, rather than writing a long story for people to listen and be sold for something.
  3. If you try to write your blog entry like a sales copy, you might just end up with many people who are just writing “sales” comments in your blog. (”sales” means to package their words nicely, for the people to get good feelings in return of something.)
  4. Writers are not as patient and may not want to run “marathon” to keep themselves posting on their blogs regularly. All they probably want is the freedom to make the money with their products.

Their Sales Pitch
While their ebook may be really very good, they need a good sales page to “pitch” the prospects. Where there are no unnecessary links to mislead the prospects, the prospects will just read on and on to get aroused to buy the ebook. What I have discovered about a sales page is:

  1. It is damn long page!
  2. But while it is long, the author took the time to write on and on with relevant information. He can really write an essay here!
  3. To a potential customer, I will just read on to a certain extend till I feel tired and just scroll down all the way. And there he shows the price to buy if I am interested.
  4. Whatever it is, anybody will definitely scroll down to the bottom for sure! Hence, top and bottom are so important in the sales pitch.
  5. In fact, people who continue to read are actually trying to get themselves aroused to get the feeling to buy… And if the feeling is zero, it must be the sales pitcher’s problem!
  6. And those who are usually not interested, will simply come in within 10 seconds and zoom away! They wouldn’t want to arouse their feelings at all…

The eBook
While the sales pitch might be good, the ebook has to over-deliver wherever it can! the ebook is the ultimate reason to bring the money to the table. Don’t forget there is such thing as money-back guarantee! Don’t just focus on your sales, make sure that your ebook is as good!

An eBook should contain the following:

  1. Any Resale Rights
  2. Ebook Graphical Book Cover
  3. Any Terms and Conditions for reading
  4. Content page
  5. A link back to the main website of this ebook
  6. Good Organization of its contents in chapters and sub-chapters

Conclusion
There is a huge market out there for ebooks… With so many applications to help to read the books, and the need to read quality information, ebooks has made it clear that it is so much more cheaper to be published. See what Jon Lee has to say about ebooks and books.

There are many ways in bring your ebook’s presence online where

  1. some used a long sales copy page,
  2. some used an official website format,
  3. some used blogs
  4. some published on shopping websites

There are also many ways of marketing your ebook via:

  1. email marketing
  2. search engine optimization
  3. PPC campaigns
  4. affiliate marketing
  5. and some other forms of viral marketing

Whichever way it is, I think sales page is a set of skills worthed to learn…

I’m very skeptical on this. I think that a serious writer still needs a good literary agent.

I just googled about this word “literary agent”… Yes I think having a literary agent might be good! While the agent is focusing himself on the packaging for the writers, the writers should focus on their works… It’s just like a computer programmer might not be the best salesman for the programs they had coded themselves!
