Things are going to change once again with the search engines, taking the lead right now, while the social media websites are catching up pretty fast.  With so many different types of websites to provide linkings to new websites through the social media websites, search engines and the usual link exchange and directories, the websites have been proven to provide a very powerful set of information to the Internet users.

When Adobe announced to collaborate with Google and Yahoo on making their flash searchable, many things might change along the way.  Adobe has been working on Adobe Air quietly with new applications coming in every now and then.  If Adobe is able to make their flash searchable, a lot of websites will start to appear on the search results.  And this could mean that the search engines are finally moving out of browsers’ realm within a typical computer if Adobe is moving one more step to bring Adobe Air to the next stage.

I have noticed that the backend technological companies such as Java and Adobe have been working behind the scenes for all the interactivity.  And because they are not so searchable, they have been mainly accessible via referral links.

I believe a lot of people might not believe that we are slowly moving out of browsers to search for more information.  Google has been working on searching maps, pictures, and even codes.  And they have progressively moved their platform into the mobile phones.  They built applications for java phones and even Apple IPhone.

Search Platform may soon reach out to use Adobe Air as the search results.  But there must have public acceptance of course.  Who knows what Microsoft will try to dominate again, leveraging on their market share of desktop operating system users?  I felt lucky that there’s still other giants around such as Yahoo and Google.  Or else, things will become so limited by one company’s creativity…

Can somebody start another search engine like Google again?
