My First Post

Charles Lau

My name is Charles. I am from Singapore and I am here to work on my own blog on a variety of my favourite topics while working on my online business.

This blog serves as a journal of Internet lessons I have learnt while building on my online businesses. For those of you who happened to stumble onto my site, I seriously hope that this blog will be able to help you too as much as I am learning from scratch about doing a serious business online.

In the start of my online business venture since 1st June 2007, I have been doing a lot of studies and research on this relatively new business game. I started off using a blogger which doesn’t satisfy my needs for a better site. Then, I looked out and found Movable Type the best blog program. However, it doesn’t work well with my hosted server, and I was almost giving up till I found WordPress! In fact, I have previously installed WordPress on this server to try out for a few days. It worked fantastically! I have even started writing a few articles about it and have a good feel of blogging professionally for the first time!

However, I realise my blog entry is either too short, or too long… It is quite hard to let my readers read about it. Basically, I have been meddling with Internet since 1997. I have been playing with html and php for quite some time. But my last touch was back in 2001 when I went for army and then to my brick-and-mortar businesses. Now, I am working full-time on my online businesses and my wish is to be able to meet different people like you to network together for business. :)
