• Who is Charles?

I have been an Internet reviewer, reviewing websites since June 2007.

Social media has been a phenomenon since 2007. It brings in the true two-way communication between the websites and their visitors. That's what Web 2.0 is all about. I aim to review what the world has become, and to give you my opinions and choices.

Over at my blog, I review you at no cost. But I will not be obliged to write reviews about your website, nor will I be obliged to write reviews positively. It is purely from my own point of view. There will have no deadline for me to finish any reviews if I am going to take up.

Please prepare your product ready for me before contacting me. Thanks. :)

Personal Branding Magazine Issue 2 is out!

By Charles On November 6, 2007 Under Books

The second issue of Personal Branding Magazine is finally out. Again, I am one of the writers inside, branding myself as an online marketing expert. In this issue, I will be talking about the packaging of your website and how it affects you in branding. I love to write so much and the credit goes to Dan Schawbel for approaching me in my earlier days of blogging online when he spotted my articles in this blog which accidentally fits into his criteria of writing in his magazine.

This blog – Charles Lau dot Com – has been very significant to me… Because it has given me the passport to know more people out there, sharing the same synergy of making money online, and learning more about online marketing. And as I indulge myself into internet business more and more, I start to learn more things which somehow can’t be learned easily through the books. This is called “perseverance”. Learning to create values along the way, learning to make money and doing joint-ventures.

I got myself a copy of the second issue of Personal Branding magazine, and you will get to see a story about Jack Welch and learn more about about his leadership in G.E. This copy is a little different from the previous one. This copy is more content-oriented and easier to read as well. The previous one is adopting the usual magazine style of writing where some articles are written on the sidebar, jumping from pages to pages… This new issue has got a better reading style. It looks like a blog style, yet it never forgets to give a magazine feel…

This new copy is a little too wordy and it’s very content-oriented. If you want to learn a lot about personal branding, you might want to buy this issue. I heard that Dan is now trying to restrict himself to 500 words per article. In fact, I guess my article is probably one of the most wordy articles inside. :)
