Reading To Be A Better Online Reviewer
Feb 27th, 2008 by Charles
I have great interest in reading about motivational books. They can keep us up and running, giving us a good idea about being positive in life. And the first person in my mind is Anthony Robbins when I read his “Awakening the Giant Within”. Anthony Robbins always reminds me about measuring my pains and pleasure in life which causes me to do certain things. His books have made me feel, and act and think more maturely in life. In fact, a lot of things that happened on me have been occured because of my previous encounter with his books. Next, I thought of Stephen Covey who discusses about his 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People, and the 8th Habit. His books are a little too technical to understand where I get to see different diagrams, graphs and such. Then, I thought of Brian Tracy who has given me a lot of great ideas in a step-by-step basis… One thing I like about Brian Tracy’s books is that his books tend to let me understand things in a more systematic way.
Then, I also like to read sales books. Sales books from Brian Tracy are also fantastic as he gives me a very familiar way of reading his books. He gave titles to every paragraph in his books, giving me an easy way of glancing through some of things that I want to emphasize on. Brian Tracy’s sales books are more towards understanding people to do a better sales. I also love books from Tom Hopkins. He simply creates best sales books around. His books are all about closing any deals from anybody. Handling disagreements, and converting them into sales and even upsells.
Next, I love marketing books. Books from Jay Abraham and Seth Godin… Jay Abraham’s marketing is simply magical… Talking about creating something from nothing… Whereas Seth Godin speaks more about small is the new big, being different, and about marketing on the Internet and in blogs. Reading those books simply make me feel fantastic to work out something as soon as possible!
Lastly, I also like to read computer books… I used to read PHP and MySQL books… PHP is one of the simplest programming on earth to understand… And it even has object-oriented programming too… Understanding technical area makes you a better reviewer because a website is naturally done from computer programming and graphic design. Give yourself sometime to understand the mechanics of Apache, MySQL, PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript will give you a good basis of the feel of the Internet.
One more before I end this post, I love to take photographs. There are so many things to play with though I don’t know much about the technical part of it. When I have a camera, I can take about 1000 photographs taking everything that I see!
