• Who is Charles?

I have been an Internet reviewer, reviewing websites since June 2007.

Social media has been a phenomenon since 2007. It brings in the true two-way communication between the websites and their visitors. That's what Web 2.0 is all about. I aim to review what the world has become, and to give you my opinions and choices.

Over at my blog, I review you at no cost. But I will not be obliged to write reviews about your website, nor will I be obliged to write reviews positively. It is purely from my own point of view. There will have no deadline for me to finish any reviews if I am going to take up.

Please prepare your product ready for me before contacting me. Thanks. :)

Stop Picking A Niche For Your Blog… Pick A Sub-Niche!

By Charles On December 1, 2007 Under Blogging

Picking a niche for your blog seems to be the obvious answer to your many successes. That’s because your visitors will be pre-qualified when they first stumbled upon your website. They obviously want to get what they want to find out from your particular website since they must have come upon your site by search engine or advertising links. But wait a moment… However, it seems like the niche can be divided into an even smaller niche which is called “sub-niche”. That’s where your visitor is even more qualified when they first come upon your website!

One-Stop Portal? No longer a good thing!
Back in 1997, everybody seems to be thinking of setting up a one-stop website… A website where you get to buy cars, sell mobile phones, read articles, write comments, or even to look for a job or business opportunities! This idea was so populated that many one-stop portals were born… But within a few months or so, they were dead too…

Niche Blog is the choice in 2005
I remember everybody keeps on saying that we have to find a niche in our website or else it will be hard to get good prospects. I agree with that! Imagine your website is all about BMW cars! You will attract a lot of people who are interested in BMW… Search engines will be glad to give you results for “BMW” more than just “cars”. Everybody who are in your BMW website, will be very focused about what they want!

But wait! How About Sub-Niche?
Imagine your BMW website mentioned earlier is focusing on the spare parts only. Which means people are interested in buying parts such as wheels, steering wheel, glass, door, engine, etc… They can practically find out every part about BMW except to talk about BMW as a whole… Search engines might give you results for “BMW wheels”… Which means that you have a very qualified visitor visiting your website which your advertisers will be glad to pay for their advertising space!

Pick a sub niche now!

Watch Free Anime Online

So what defines a niche versus a subniche? Aren’t they really saying the same thing? Number of readers? Number of “fans?” i.e., would Anime be a niche, and a series be a subniche? or would a series be a niche, and a character a “subniche?”

Good suggesstion. That way you can maintain a lot of different sites and divide your time between them.

2 or more niches make our blog a little saturated… Just imagine your blog is talking about BMW and Mercedes… It makes the blog’s topic focusing on high class cars more than just about BMW or Mercedes…

That’s how many bloggers actually started working on more blogs. One category was to big so they created a new blog out of it. Then another one…

It’s a great thing when you have some experience in that niche, then the success comes much easier. Just repeat the process over again when it’s needed.
