Submitting Your Website To The 3 Gigantic Search Engines

Ever since Google, Yahoo and MSN sat together and discuss about the collaboration of the sitemap (Google link, MSN link, Yahoo Link) and have officially launched http://www.sitemaps.org together, having fresh contents to tell the search engines have never been easier.

It is no longer fashionable to submit your url only to the search engines.  The search engines are hungry for more information about your inner links!

Google seems to have launched the usage of sitemap (link) officially and has use it extensively for all of us to enjoy. Yahoo has followed suit and make it as part of their submission (link). MSN is still not using sitemaps (link) but they will look it into it while you add the following in your robots.txt first:

Sitemap: http://www.charleslau.com/sitemap.xml

Remember to change to your url accordingly.. :)

This is probably the most basic thing to do to get your website indexed by the search engines!  If you have not done it, you are at the losing end!
