This is another Make Money Online Blog I am reviewing today. And I wish to thank Johnathan for giving me a chance to review this blog. This person is an Internet entrepreneur who has been around doing Internet business while most of us (including myself) haven’t even had a computer to play with. Till 2007, he is already working with the Internet for 14 years! Oh by the way, I have only been playing with Internet for 9 years…

Let’s have a look at the video review before I carry on with my comments about Cman.

Blogspot looking like WordPress
While he is still using blogger.com to do up his blog, he never fails to use it with lots of flexibility. He is able to display advertisements and a three column on top to show some introduction for his first time readers. The only thing I don’t like about blogger is that they don’t seem to be able to integrate their comments well with the blog, forcing the person to do some frames to contain the actual comments. And I wonder how he captures the number of comments on his blog which seem to be inaccurate and hence, I didn’t mention it in the video review.

Great Advertisement Price! Grab it while it lasts!
He has probably the cheapest advertisement on earth that I have seen. Everywhere is priced at $10 or below. He is probably trying to capture the market before moving on to the next level. This is usually the case. If you are interested to advertise, just look for him to fill up the space. I am currently seeing a post frequency of 1 per day… and with a technorati authority of over 400, it is very likely that he is going to work on this blog as a Online Money Expert given his status as an Internet Entrepreneur.

True Affiliate Marketer
Looking at his categories, he has quite a good focus about his blog. Talking along about affiliate marketing, blogging tips and tricks, blogging news, contests, contextual advertising, General, make money online, profitable productive blogging, profitable productive posts, SEO, site reviews, tips and tricks, traffic building and viral marketing. Though the actual posts don’t seem to be capturing my attention, I can see that he is a true affiliate marketer from the way he writes his blog with affiliated links. For example, in his latest post about savings in restaurant where he stated that it is not a sponsored post, I can see an affiliate link there which can be quite misleading to all of us who are in the make-money-online industry… But I believe his landing pages for working out his affiliate marketing must be quite ok to bring in income for him, based on the way he did up his blog.

About his Advertisements
One more thing I have noticed while looking at his advertisements. There is no Google ads inside… But there are Yahoo Ads and Bidvertisers…. Blogspot not using Google Ads seems a bit weird to me though… since Google has made it a smooth transaction for anyone to put up google ads on blogspot.

About the LinkBacks
He seems to have joined a lot of different link activities to bring in the traffic by placing a link to linkmarket website. And he has started a program called Viraltags… Well, I am not sure if they are healthy activities since they seem to be served to cater to the needs of Google looking for websites with lots of linkbacks as votes.. Charles advises “Do try to refrain from such things as much as you can, ok?”

Newsletter
He’s giving away free newsletter! Though I have a feeling that this newsletter might not work well on blog as opposed to a normal landing website, one of my blogger friends (not sure if it’s appropriate to mention his name) told me that it’s good to capture the market while your blog is online anyway. This is a good way of capturing some more leads for people who are interested in making money online which is what a lot of internet marketers love to do to create their own mailing list… While in actual fact, a blog is as good as a mailing list where RSS feed subscribers turn out to be more important than mailing list since we don’t have to maintain the list while working on our blog. It’s like a stone killing two birds… This blog serves like a newsletter while it generates unlimited traffic from the search engines for its unique content.

Conclusion
I think this blog is pretty ok for a good exposure in the near future. But probably need some more amendments. If you could make your blog look like Etienne Teo’s blog, I think that will be fantastic! There seems to have a missing touch in using blogspot, making your blog a little unprofessional from others. Add that with your usual contents, I think your blog might go much further since you have been doing a lot of homework to get this blog up… Yes I can see lots of effort in it… If you can, I suggest you engaging Etienne to help you in your blog structure since he’s really good at blogger.com codes… (that’s if he is willing to help…)

Thanks Johnathan for sponsoring this post! :)

    Am i that unfriendly… =)

I would say Jonathan did a great job, he had a different style in his design. Just a little advise to get a domain name at least, if you want to be successful in the money blog industrial you need at least a proper domain name. See you around Jonathan!

Mr charles, i am very amazed by the fact you could be earning more than me in reviewing blogs and sites, after all you provide 2 services, the content and video reviews..Another great review by you, cheers!

    haha… Thanks… :)
Sometimes, the bloggers being reviewed are always looking for “good” reviews in spite of their blogs being reviewed badly because of some shortcomings here and there being shown on the review.
Some bloggers I just have to reject it after I found out that their blogs are not ready for review, and that a review is actually reflecting their weaknesses only…
But there are some bloggers whom I couldn’t filter away due to unforeseen circumstances…

Erm was I the friend who recommended the opt-in for the blog? =P

Anyways case in point…I got like about 40-50 RSS feed subscribers. But over 400+ opt-ins for alvinhuang.com, so I believe they are still very different modes of communicating to your audience. In fact I only just recently learnt how to setup and subscribe to feeds from other websites with MyYahoo. And even after it was setup, I don’t even visit it at all. But I do check my emails more regularly. Overall its a matter of personal preference I guess. But might as well take a 2 prong approach to growing your prospect/reader base. =)

    Regards,
    Alvin Huang

Yeah bro… You are the one… It sounds promising to start one to grow two sides…
RSS readers come and go as we write on in our blog, while email subscribers are more likely to stay permanent in our list…
