Did you still remember Matt Cutts talking about Whitehat SEO for Bloggers? He mentioned about Alex Chiu and his infamous website for being banned by Google, probably forever. Alex Chiu (http://www.alexchiu.com/) has taught us a lot of things about what not to do through his own website. As I was reviewing his website, I do realize there are a couple of lessons we can learn from. He is simply telling us a story about making money online which I would like to share with all of you here.

Alex Chiu has a Page Rank of 4!
Having to be notorious for his website for not being indexed in Google, Google is still giving him page rank of 4. Why is this so? Take a look at the number of links Alex Chiu is receiving in the eyes of Google. That is so amazing because of his problematic issue with Google. Alex knew about it himself and has put a page up to talk about it. (http://www.alexchiu.com/spread.htm)

While he is complaining that Google is afraid of him, he didn’t let the people outside know that he has inserted a lot of keywords in a small little pixel hidden somewhere in the website. (http://www.alexchiu.com/eternallife/) This can be shown clearly when you see the html source of the website.

Alex Chiu is not indexed in Google!
If you take a look at the Google index of Alex Chiu’s website, there is nothing found! With a page rank of 4, there is nothing found in Google. This reminds me of John Chow when his website is found at the rock bottom of Google search results. And his page rank seems to be lowering on every other months. My website is also being lowered in page rank ever since I announced my page rank in October last year. It probably has to do with my sponsored reviews over the past few months. Nevertheless, I have been trying to be compliant with Google by adding in nofollow tag to all sponsored links. It doesn’t hurt to put in nofollow tag since they are sponsoring to put on my website, and not on Google in their calculation of links for all the websites’ page ranks.

According to Google, Alex Chiu is having more than 200 links to his website. However, he is not receiving traffic from Google. His traffic is probably only from website referrals. Since people like myself is talking about him, he will probably get extra boost of traffic from bloggers as well.

Alex Chiu’s contents are actually quite interesting
He has an interesting topic about immortality. He talks about things that people might be interested. Yet, he puts in so many irrelevant keywords that he is actually slapping Google in the face to index all of them… He’s trying to make Google doing a disfavor to the searchers. And I felt that his website looks like a Web 0.1 version… Looks like another Geocities website in the past. Yet, the content is still king over here… You might want to read more like myself about his contents…
