What Is Money?

By Charles On July 24, 2007 Under Entrepreneurship

Money is about income or expenses. Many people out there have been educating people how to use expenses in different ways, buying different products to enjoy in life. Let’s skip about the expenses in this topic. Let’s talk about income which is the most struggling topic in our lives.

Income is margin which separates the rich from the rest. While the rich found the secret formula to attain their financial freedom, the poor are still struggling with their jobs for survival and majority of them are unhappy getting their income. As I was talking to my girlfriend about her job, I start to realize something different about the money she is making which is different from me.

Working on a Job for Income
When you are working on a job for other people, you are not only getting money from them but also the experience of working there. It is in the process that matters and not the outcome. If you were to work for other people while money is not a problem to you, you might not be able to “force” yourself away from your comfort zone for reaching the next level in life! That’s because you will always have a mentality of looking for happiness (and not money) in a job which is not possible to be really happy in a job… Why?

Because business itself is a problem-oriented environment where we are all working as a problem-solver to solve other people’s problems. It’s only when there is a problem, there is business to do. Who would want to pay you money when they have no problem in that certain area of their lives? For example, a food business is meant to solve our hungry stomach’s problem… right?

Your only comfort zone is the sweet income at the end of the day… That’s the bait from the company, but that’s the process you are going through which is making you learn precious experiences you probably wouldn’t learn anywhere!

Working on a Business for Income
And when you are doing your own business, you are talking about looking for money to make! If you want to make the money, you have to find problems in other people’s lives! Their problem is your money! You attract their problems and they attract your solutions… And money is being transacted… Look! Money is only flowing in one way…

Problem => ($$$) => Solution

Why would you want to give money for problem? People only want to give money for solutions!

And because you gain your income this way, you will start to gain that extra lesson about being a solution-oriented person in your life! Don’t you see those rich tend to be richer? It’s because people trust in what they are doing because they are simply giving solutions and not problems! You wouldn’t want to give money to a person who only thinks of problems, right?

The Size Of Your Problem Is The Size Of Your Money
Notice that the more problems you have, the more money you will start to lose… The rich will get richer because their clients are having problems… But the interesting part is that the rich tends to have more problems than the poor… The poor can handle a lot of things themselves such as repairing the light bulbs, water pipes and even repairing some electrical things… And the rich cannot handle those things themselves, and they will usually pay for the service to help them…

And the more interesting part is that how much you have in your pocket, is how big your problem is… So the more money you are able to make from other people’s problems, the more problems you have yourself to give money others…

Who says that the rich is stingy?
In fact, the poor are much more stingier when they have not enough money to pay other people… The rich can pay for a house which needs a lot of manpower from a company… While the poor are only paying small amount of money to maintain their “simple” life… And when the rich is paying so much more, he is actually providing more businesses and jobs for others to create their wealth! Now, let’s see who is contributing to the economy more? In fact, the more money a person is getting, the more money that same person is giving! The rich are so much more capable!

Conclusion
Do you want to be rich? :)
