It’s 1 January 2016 today!
Over the past few years, I have been struggling with my time management on Family, Personal and Work at the same time. After a lot of trial and error, I start to establish a better management of time. I must thank the existence of pomodoro technique because it helps me to do more variety of things within 25 minutes of time.
I have been very obsessed on categorising my tasks last year (2015). Every day, I will open up my tasks in mindmap format and see how I make a better version. It turned out that I have many mind maps, and I have actually incorporated all of them together as one. Mind map is really another amazing tool to have.
This year, I want to continue focusing on the three things (Family, Personal and Work) but with greater intense. Thanks to Derek Sivers who have started up this http://nownownow.com website, I have my page up at http://charleslau.com/now and also have my page at http://nownownow.com/p/swSx to remind myself what’s my focus now. It shows the latest status of myself, and all else doesn’t really matter.
I started off tidying up all my messy papers which I digged out when I moved to my new house. I also started tidying up my digital files in my hard disk. As I tidy up, I realise that I am getting myself more focused too because I start to see myself in control of what I have. It feels good to know what I have too!
There is one special focus that I want to work on in 2016. That is Education. This will be the year of upgrading myself even more as I find myself lacking of knowledge in Public Relations and many other things. Have to keep learning!
Next week, I will be spending my time at my reservist camp for 1 week. It’s a good time for me to take a break from my full time job and to think about my plans.
Hello again 2016!
