After much consideration and research, I decided to move my files from Dropbox to OneDrive. I am pleased at the speed of syncing comparing to Dropbox and Google Drive. It’s going really fast for the whole day till I hit a problem which tells me nothing much except a warning “OneDrive can’t transfer files right now” which gives me no clue at all. Thankfully I found a solution after much research on Google.
I noticed that the syncing stops at around 500GB, and after much checking it is due to a OneDrive configuration which sets this limitation.
Hence, here’s the solution:
Step 1: Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings\Personal\ClientPolicy.ini by and edit it.
Step 2: Look for the MaxClientMBTransferredPerDay parameter from 537600 to 1537600.
Disclaimer: While it may have solved my problem, it may not be able to solve yours and it may even present certain risk. Hence, please do it with care.
